Once a selection has been made:
- Adjust the properties of that area. Under the Select menu, there’s a fly-out list of Modify options. These include;
- Feather, which softens the edge of the selection instead of a hard outline,
- Smooth will remove pointy edges and
- Contrast and Shift edge enlarge the size of the area.
- All these options can be combined with one selection for the perfect cutout. Press Q to preview what the selection edge looks like.
